Or in stead of just writing a comment at the blog you like (point 5), try to get a guestblog post in there. It will give you a lot of exposure to people you know are interested in the same stuff as you. And if you write an interesting/funny good post then you might persuade some readers of that blog to check out your blog.

But that will probably be “more traffic tomorrow” and not the same day haha.

Hi Keith,

Videos are a great way to get more traffic and Google loves YouTube videos. Many bloggers are starting to post videos and there are vlogs which are only videos. I do NOT recommend ONLY doing videos because text is important to many readers (like me) and also to search listings for long tail phrases.

Thanks for the post! I am always looking for more visitors. One more idea, I have been creating videos using camstudios free screen capture software and uploading them to youtube and a few other vidoe sites. The upload takes forever but if you work your keywords in right the visitors will start coming in!

Hello Ronald,

Good content is a given; without it no amount of traffic will make any difference. The visitors who will decide to read this blog, for example, will read more than just this post on their first visit.

They’ll check out the categories and other posts to see what is posted here. My posts tend to be longer than many would prefer so I can’t cover everything required in each post. I haven’t even scratched the surface of what is important in this entire blog!

Can’t say that i agree fully to this article because the most important #1 is missing; good content. You can do your very best to follow the 5 methods described in this article, but if first-time visitors to your blog are not interested in the content of what you write, then they’ll not return to your blog. With good content i mean more then copying opinions of others or referring to that, but formulating your own opinion and really contributing.
