I think if you are just really interested in something, which is totally different than wanting to be good at something, it all sticks much easier. I know the lyrics of songs that I love, I don't really know the lyrics of songs that I don't like. No offense to geeks. I share your wish for being a bit more geek smart. When I tell my grandfather how to use the computer he gets this glassy look in his eyes, like he's not home and everything just goes in one ear and out the other. I just imagine that that is what I see when a computer savvy person explains me coding.
